Birchgate Bothy is a lovely spacious home from home. It has great amenities and four good sized double bedrooms. It's bright and furnished in a modern style. This isn't a criticism but as it's pet friendly, a fence and gate across the bottom of the driveway would insure eager canine explorers don't make their way to the road.

Lovely and spacious house with three bedrooms upstairs and a twin room downstairs — very convenient as we were travelling with elderly parents. Both bathrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs) were modern and spotless, and the entire place was exceptionally clean.
I also appreciated how easy the heating was to use — something that’s often a problem in other places I’ve stayed. The house has a large, well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room. Check-in was simple via a key box.
There’s a supermarket and a nice pub/restaurant (The Lorne) within walking distance, and communication with the host was easy and friendly. The outdoor space is lovely too (weather permitting!). I would really need to think hard about anything negative. The mattresses were a bit soft for my liking and some kitchen roll in the kitchen would have been great. But other than that, I cannot think of anything 🙂

Beautifully presented house, good sized room with nice outdoor space and views to hills. Short walk to sea or into town. Good location for exploring the Cowal peninsula, Adentinny beach short drive away is lovely.
